How to Get the Most out of your castile Soap!
How I use 1 bottle of 13Soaps Castile Soap to Clean my laundry and entire house for weeks!

I’ve been experimenting with D.I.Y laundry soap for some time now and I’m finally happy with my simple Castile Soap Solution. I am satisfied because not only is this D.I.Y Laundry soap effective but it smells great and will last you a long while. Basically with 1 cup of Castile Soap and a couple things from your kitchen you can create a gallon of laundry soap! This gallon usually last me about 4weeks and that will vary depending on your household size and how often you do laundry (I have a family of 3 and do 4-5 loads a week). Here’s What you need and How:

D.I.Y Castile Laundry Soap

  • 1 cup 13Soaps™ Castile Soap
  • ¾ cup baking soda
  • ¼ cup Sea Salt
  • Dissolve ingredients in 2 ¼ cup warm water
  • Add solution to a 1 Gallon container and fill the rest of the Gallon container with water. 😊

(you can use an old water gallon container or up-cycle an empty laundry soap bottle from previous us)

You can even add your own essential oils to the unscented Castile Soap  if you choose but our Clary Sage and Sunshine are wonderfully scented and will leave your clothes fresh as the breeze.

Use ¼ cup of Laundry Solution for average size full load.

After making your laundry soap, you should have another 8 oz. of Castile Soap left in your 16oz. bottle of 13Soaps Castile Soap. Another thing I like to do Is make a multipurpose cleaning spray! I use this on my counter tops, stove top, sink, tables, and even when mopping my kitchen floor. I bought a 24 oz. Spray bottle at the dollar store a few months back and it hasn’t let me down yet. You can buy a spray bottle or up-cycle an existing one from under your sink. 😊

    Here’s what you need:

    • 1 oz. Castile Soap
    • 16-24 oz. spray bottle
    • Water
    • Pour soap into Spray bottle and fill bottle up with water ( you can add tea tree essential oil for added anti microbial properties if you like)

After making these 2 products that will last a couple weeks you should still have 6/7 oz. of Castile Soap in your bottle. I like to use this to fill my foaming hand soaps and to wash dishes.

    For foaming hand Soap

      • add 1 oz. Castile Soap to foaming pump dispenser
      • (you can add 1 tsp of jojoba or olive oil for a moisturizing blend)
      • fill the rest of the pump with water and enjoy

For dishes you can use straight castile soap on greasy pots and pans, one thing I like to do is, pour about a quarter size amount in a bowl or container and add water to dip my sponge in while doing dishes. I’ve found that this helps reduce the amount of water I need to use while dishes and helps conserve soap.

So there you have it! That’s how I keep my entire home and laundry for weeks with just 1 bottle of 13Soaps Castile Soap! Hope you enjoy and leave a comment if you found this blog useful in any way. 😊 13Love
